William H. Henderson
1941 -About
William H. Henderson (b. 1941) is a violinist, composer, conductor, and lives in Los Angeles. He has had wide experiences in orchestras and chamber groups, as well as in local studios as a freelance musician, for film, television, live concert, and audio recordings. At Howard University, he received degree in music education and violin. Further graduate studies were completed at the University of California-Los Angeles, California State University, and the University of Sothern California, where he received his doctorate in music. Composition studies were with Mark Fax, Halsey Stevens, Romero Cortez, and Roy Harris. One of his known works, Five Songs for Soprano and Piano was written for and album released by Orion Records. He has taught music, performed with symphony orchestras, and performed with symphony orchestras, and played as soloist in the United States and Europe. Henderson has composed music for orchestra, solo instruments, chamber groups, film, musical comedy, and recordings.
