Maya Johnson is a composer and performing artist. Originally from Lebanon, Pennsylvania, Maya began her music career as a violist and violinist. After graduating from Interlochen Arts Academy, she attended Baldwin Wallace Conservatory as a Viola Performance and Composition double major. Currently, she is completing her M.M. in Composition at the University of Michigan under the tutelage of Dr. Evan Chambers and Dr. Kristi Kuster. She is also an alumnus of Sphinx Performance Academy, Eastern Music Festival, Charlotte New Music Festival and Fresh Inc Festival.
